Shipping & Delivery

Frequently Asked Questions: Shipping

Is shipping free?

UPS Ground shipping is free to the contiguous (continental) United States, which includes every state except Alaska and Hawaii.

Ground orders that require a freight carrier do not qualify for free shipping. Expedited shipping, such as next- and second-day air, are available at standard rates.

Is there a minimum order for free shipping?

No! All non-freight orders within the continental United States automatically qualify for free ground shipping. No order minimum required.

Where do orders ship from?

Most orders are shipped directly from our distribution centers near Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Pa. or Salt Lake City, Utah.

When are orders shipped?

UPS Ground Orders are shipped Monday through Friday until 4:00 PM eastern time. Freight orders are shipped Monday through Friday until 1:00 PM eastern time.

Orders placed after these times will be processed the following business day.

How do I find out how much freight, expedited, and international shipping cost?

If you need to use a paid shipping method (freight, expedited UPS, or international), you will see these options during checkout. The cost will be included as a line item in the amount you pay.

What should I do when my freight order arrives?

Please inspect your order it before you sign for it. Note any damages or order discrepancies on the delivery receipt.

Who is responsible for my order while it’s in transit?

For domestic orders, we are, until it’s delivered. For international orders, we have no control over your order once it has passed through your country's customs.

Frequently Asked Questions: Freight

1

Do I need to sign for freight orders?

Freight is signed for at delivery, so someone needs to be at the delivery address to receive it.

2

Do I need to inspect my order?

Before you sign, check that the number of pieces matches the delivery receipt, and look over the packaging for damage.

3

How do I report missing or damaged items?

While rare, a shipment may arrive damaged or with items missing. Write any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt before you sign it. A receipt signed without notes tells the carrier everything arrived in good condition.

4

What if I find damages after unpacking?

Contact us right away and keep the packaging. Carriers can deny concealed-damage claims that aren’t reported promptly, often within 24–48 hours of delivery.

5

I reported that something was damaged or missing. Now what?

We file the freight claim with the carrier on your behalf.

The one exception: if your freight ships on your own freight carrier account, you file any claim with that carrier directly.

Shipping Details

UPS Ground shipping is free to the contiguous United States, except on orders that include an item that ships by freight.

Shipping costs for freight, expedited UPS services (Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air, and 3 Day Select), and shipments to Canada are calculated at checkout, based on package weight, dimensions, distance, and added surcharges. You’ll see the charge before you pay.

If you choose split shipments at checkout, each shipment is charged separately.
